This is an introduction to BACKLOT CAFÉ, Hagrid's hut, and Harry Potter's room under the stairs at the Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo, which I went to for the first time.

In mid-August 2024, I went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour with my family for the first time. It was a sunny and very hot day. In June 2023, the Harry Potter studio tour facility Studio Tour Tokyo was created using part of the former site of Toshimaen in Nerima Ward, Tokyo. Studio Tour Tokyo, which is built on a vast site of about 90,000 square meters, the equivalent of two Tokyo Domes, is equipped with the same movie sets actually designed and created by the creators of the Harry Potter movie series, and you can actually experience many scenes from the movie. Since the entire building is air-conditioned, I was able to visit comfortably even on a hot midsummer day, and it was a lot of fun.

Anticipating the lunch rush, we had an early lunch around 11:00. At BACKLOT CAFÉ, we all ordered the Gryffindor plate (roast beef), fish & chips, and sandwiches. I had the fish & chips which were very delicious. As expected, it wasn't crowded at this time of day, so we were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Afterwards, we went to the Dursleys and saw Harry's room under the stairs, and said, "This is awful. I feel sorry for him being locked up in a place like that."
