We headed to Key West at the beginning of November. The trip was not without incident - we ended up with a bit of damage on the way. Nothing terrible, but it did make the trip a bit rougher than anticipated.

We happened to be there during the offshore powerboat races, which was a good time. We missed the first couple days of racing and an accident due to work, but we were able to get a couple days of racing in.

We also visited USCGC Ingham, which was a pretty good tour of a Cutter with a storied history. This ship didn't just patrol the American coast, it went all over the world. If you want to see a historical ship, spend an hour or two there.

Another site to see is Fort Zachary, which was a pretty cool historical fort. Also, there is a pretty good beach there. So, if you want to hit up one of the few beaches in Key West, check it out.

One of the other places we visited was the Key West Butterfly Museum. This was worth a stop to check out the butterflies. It was a calm break from the typical bustle of downtown.
