How to prevent our children from these conditions ?
Growing concern with kids showing up with Obesity, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, diabetes, etc. Nowadays children health is very much affected. They may be due to environmental factors, genetic factors but most common reasons include dietary habits and physical activity. Whenever we take our children out for shopping they start asking whatever they see around them to eat. If we don't get that for them, they use their weapon (crying) and make us to buy. They won't stop by asking for just one, it continues. Parents are afraid of them crying and start buying whatever they ask for. This behaviour should be completely changed by their parents. Parents are the role model for their children. They learn lot of things by observing their parents. Parents have the ability to make the child understand which is good and bad. Some parents consume junk foods and that habit will automatically convey to their children. Parents should cultivate healthy eating habits. While taking children out for shopping, feed them at home before leaving as they'll feel full and don't ask for every item they look around. Parents can involve their children in the cooking process so that they'll understand the importance of food, the art of cooking, healthy and unhealthy food ingredients. This helps to prevent the children asking for processed foods. Involving children in the outdoor games rather than indoor games helps to improve their physical activity and they can spend quality time. Providing 3 solid meals per day, healthy snacks, hydration throughout the day is very important. Their diet should include vegetables, fruits most importantly. By making smaller changes, we can gain larger results. Everything begins at home. Let our children grow healthy.
