On a beautiful spring morning, we drove out of the city and headed to the Oregon Coast. Our first stop was just outside of Newport at Yaquina Head Lighthouse. The lighthouse was covered in a blanket of fog, but it was still a beautiful site. We headed from there to the next lighthouse, but made a quick stop at Thor's Well. The well did not disappoint with the awesome power of the waves exploding up through the rocks. After Thor's Well, our next lighthouse stop was Heceta Head Lighthouse with it's half mile hike up to the lighthouse. Heceta Head Lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in Oregon and we could see why! Our last lighthouse for the day was at Umpqua River Lighthouse which is oddly situated right in a neighborhood. We stopped at the Devil's Punchbowl on our way up north to Pacific City where we spent the night. The next day we visited Cape Meares Lighthouse as our last stop on this two day trip.
