In July of 2020, our family went camping for the very first time! When we've travelled as a family before, we've always stayed in Airbnbs or hotels. But during the pandemic, camping seemed like the best option for spending a few nights out of town. We camped at Elkhorn Valley Recreation Site along the Santiam River. We discovered natural steps and caves, had a perfect swimming hole all to ourselves, and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Our first trip was a success!!
