Recipe:
Vanilla cake:
200g (1 + 2/3 cups) all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of fine sea salt
113g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
200g (1 cup) granulated sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
10g (2 teaspoons) pure vanilla extract
240g (1 cup) buttermilk (or whole milk)
Chocolate cake:
The same ingredients ⬆️
25g (1/4 cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
Frosting:
100g (7 tablespoon) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
50g (1/2 cup) icing sugar
15g (3 teaspoons) buttermilk (or heavy cream)
5g (1 teaspoon) pure vanilla extract
For two cakes, double the amount of the frosting
Coating:
150g (5.3oz) white chocolate + 20g (0.7oz) coconut butter
150g (5.3oz) dark chocolate + 20g (0.7oz) coconut butter
Little extra:
50g (1.76oz) white chocolate
