Released in 2010 as the lead single of the debut album from American rock band, Neon Trees, 'Animal' was a fun song that I was always happy to play when I was in a covers band playing the pub circuit.
The structure of the song is straightforward, but the melodies infectious, and the bass tone got me obsessed with the tone of a P-bass played pickstyle, running straight into a hot amp on the edge of breakup.
