Released in 1999 by Finnish Hip Hop group, Bomfunk MC's, 'Freestyler' was a pretty hot tune on MTV and the airwaves.

As a 17 year old teenager at the time, 'Freestyler' was one of those tunes I either heard in the ice skating rink or in night spots that I passed. The groove and arrangement was always catchy to me, but I only recently realised that the song also had a killer synth bassline.

I don't have a synth pedal, so I've tried to emulate the tone with my fretless Yamaha BB235
