Released in 2009 as the fifth and final single from Paramore's third album, 'Brand New Eyes', 'Playing God' was well-received by the public, and lauded by critics as a brilliant return to form.

Although the album was said to be plagued by a lot of interpersonal issues within the band, I always felt that it had some of the best writing of the early Paramore sound.

Jeremy Davis played the bass on this record, and it sounds like the C# note in the chorus is played in the normal 4-string register, but reinforced an octave below with a synth in production. As such, I've opted to break out the 'Frankenbass' to track this cover in Drop-C tuning.
