They are beautiful aren't they? Just like flower buds but they are not. These beauties are the Traditional Recipes of Laos, Lao Stuffed Lemongrass or Ua Si Khai, as the name indicates, lemongrass stuffed with ground meat fillings. In our video, we are using the ground pork but you can also substitute with ground chicken or ground turkey meat. To enhance the flavour of the meat fillings, we added garlic, scallions and seasoned with fish sauce, salt and ground white pepper just like what is written in Traditional Recipes of Laos by Phia Sing (FullI ingredients list for this Lao Stuffed Lemongrass at 9:58). We are truly grateful to be able to adapt this Traditional Recipes of Laos through shesimmers.com, thank you! We seasoned the egg for coating with some ground white pepper before deep frying the stuffed lemongrass into golden beautiful flower buds as they are.
