Today we will learn how to make fried mantou!

To make the fried mantou you will first need to make the plain mantou/ steamed bun. Fried mantou was one of my favorite dim sum items. The fried mantou are basically mantou/steamed buns that are deep fried until a golden mantou

What is mantou?
Mantou are chinese steamed buns. The steamed buns are plain and don’t have any filling inside. The fluffy steamed buns are commonly served with condensed milk. Mantou is a popular bun in Asia and is eaten for breakfast or you can find them at dim sum restaurants. You can also find premade plain frozen mantou at the grocery store.

In today's video I will show you how to make steamed bun from scratch / homemade mantou. As a bonus we will also learn how to make fried mantou!. If you’re a subscriber to my channel you might have seen my mantou recipe before. I adjusted my previous mantou recipe a little bit to make it even softer!
