Dialysis is a medical treatment that filters and purifies the blood when the kidneys are unable to perform this function naturally.

It is typically used for individuals with kidney failure or end-stage renal disease.

There are two main types of dialysis:

1. Hemodialysis (HD): This type of dialysis uses a machine to filter the blood outside of the body

2. Peritoneal dialysis (PD): This type of dialysis uses the lining of the abdomen (peritoneum) as a filter to clean the blood.

इसका उपयोग आम तौर पर गुर्दे की विफलता या अंतिम चरण के गुर्दे की बीमारी वाले व्यक्तियों के लिए किया जाता है
डायलिसिस के दो मुख्य प्रकार हैं:
1. हेमोडायलिसिस (एचडी): इस प्रकार के डायलिसिस में शरीर के बाहर रक्त को फ़िल्टर करने के लिए एक मशीन का उपयोग किया जाता है
2. पेरिटोनियल डायलिसिस (पीडी): इस प्रकार का डायलिसिस रक्त को साफ करने के लिए पेट की परत (पेरिटोनियम) को एक फिल्टर के रूप में उपयोग करता है।
