Schizophrenia is a mental or psychiatric illness which is characterised by symptoms of delusions, hallucinations and negative symptoms. It is a type of psychotic disorder.
Schizophrenia is a fairly uncommon condition, affecting 1% of the population.  

Schizophrenia is most often diagnosed in young adults, with men being somewhat more affected than women. 
It can have a profound impact on a person’s life, as well as the lives of those around them.

The symptoms of schizophrenia usually appear in late adolescence or early adulthood. Schizophrenia can affect a person’s speech, thinking, emotions as well as social interactions and other everyday activities. 

सिज़ोफ्रेनिया एक मानसिक या मनोवैज्ञानिक बीमारी है जो भ्रम, मतिभ्रम और नकारात्मक लक्षणों से प्रकट होती है। यह एक प्रकार का मानसिक विकार है।

सिज़ोफ्रेनिया एक काफी असामान्य स्थिति है, जो 1% आबादी को प्रभावित करती है।  

सिज़ोफ्रेनिया का निदान अक्सर युवा वयस्कों में किया जाता है, जिसमें महिलाओं की तुलना में पुरुष कुछ हद तक अधिक प्रभावित होते हैं।

इसका किसी व्यक्ति के जीवन के साथ-साथ उसके आसपास के लोगों के जीवन पर भी गहरा प्रभाव पड़ सकता है।

सिज़ोफ्रेनिया के लक्षण आमतौर पर देर से किशोरावस्था या शुरुआती वयस्कता में दिखाई देते हैं। सिज़ोफ्रेनिया किसी व्यक्ति की वाणी, सोच, भावनाओं के साथ-साथ सामाजिक संपर्क और अन्य रोजमर्रा की गतिविधियों को प्रभावित कर सकता है।
