STOP! is proud to present professional cellist, Karen Kaderavek. Born and raised in Chicago, Kaderavek perused a career in music and ascended to the position of principal cellist in orchestras in the States as well as in Canada. She moved to Montreal, after spending twenty years in Boston, performing, recording, touring and teaching and later settled in Sutton, Quebec where she now lives with her husband, playwright Stephen Orlov.

In this episode Kaderavek performs two solo pieces for cello, Fall of the leaf, by the English composer Imogen Holst and Suite Espagnole, by Spanish composer Rogelio Huguet y Tagell.

Elle a grandi à Chicago et a suivi une carrière en musique, et elle est devenue violoncelliste principale dans les orchestres aux États-Unis ainsi qu'au Canada. Elle a déménagé à Montréal, après avoir passé vingt ans à Boston, où elle a joué, enregistré, fait des tournées et enseigné. Plus tard, Kaderavek s'est installé à Sutton, au Québec, où elle vit maintenant avec son mari, le dramaturge Stephen Orlov.
