Pudhucode Sambar or Pulinkari, a variant of sambar, is typically made at temples during the Navaratri festival. It uses a combination white pumpkin, yellow pumpkin, and yam. Pulingari is a tamarind and coconut based gravy which s divinely tasty, but is distinct from the taste of sambar though. It can be had with rice just like Sambar.
