LRT 1 Redemptorist Station Update

The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) has suspended operations for three weekends to make way for the integration of its extension to Sucat, Parañaque, which is opening next month.This is the latest progress of Redemptorist Station and several other Stations of the Lrt Line 1 Asiaworld Station will be connected to PITX Terminal.Mia Station, Dr Santos Station and Ninoy Aquino Station.

The Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), operator of LRT-1, is conducting test run on its train line to link the current line to the initial segment.

The move is targeted to "fast-track the preparations for the expected opening of LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 this October 2024.

Phase 1 of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project covers the first five additional stations within Parañaque City: Redemptorist, MIA, PITX Asia World, Ninoy Aquino, and Dr. Santos.

Phase 1 will extend the existing Line 1 by 6.2 kilometers.

It is expected to significantly reduce travel time and benefit up to 600,000 passengers daily.
