◆Offering Books and Bookshelves to Lycee d’etat Charles Mefane High School’ in Lambarene, Gabon - [ Quality Education ]◆

Library renovated, cheering for dreams and future

The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation donated 807 books and 12 bookshelves to Lycee d’etat Charles Mefane High School in Lambarene located in the western region of Gabon.

In last December, the WeLoveU donated 200 reference books and dictionaries to a high school in Libreville, and now supported the local high school students for education.

The classes have been carried out with printouts since most students among 3,000 students of Lycee d’etat Charles Mefane High School don’t have textbooks to say nothing of reference books.

It is because reference books are expensive and it is hard even to buy a book since there is no bookstore nearby.

The library had some old books, published decades ago, left on the floor as if time had stopped there.

In this age when so much information is poured out even in one year,
the WeLoveU decided to donate 807 books for the education and future of the students.

The members purchased textbooks for every subject, newly published reference books, and various kinds of classical and modern novels, and carried them to the library.
They also prepared 12 bookshelves where they can put 200 to 300 books....

◆가봉 '샤를 메판 고등학교'에 도서 및 책장 지원 - [ 양질의 교육 ]◆

꿈과 미래를 응원하는 도서관 새 단장

(재)국제위러브유가 가봉 서부 랑바레네의 ‘샤를 메판 고등학교’에 도서 807권과 책장 12개를 지원했다.

작년 12월, 리브르빌의 고등학교에 참고서와 사전 200권을 기증한 위러브유가 지방 고등학생들의 교육 지원에도 나선 것이다.

3000명에 이르는 샤를 메판 고등학교 학생 대부분은 참고서는커녕 교과서도 없이 유인물로만 수업을 진행해 왔다.

참고서 가격이 비싸고 근처에 서점이 없어 책을 구입하기조차 쉽지 않기 때문이다.

도서관에는 시간이 멈춰버린 듯 수십 년 전에 출간된 책들이 책장 없이 바닥에 방치되어 있었다.

회원들은 전 교과목 교과서와 최근 출간된 참고서는 물론 다양한 고전 및 현대소설을 구입한 후 도서관으로 옮겼다.
200~300권을 보관할 수 있는 책장 12개도 준비했다....
