Early fall trout stockings have begun in Pennsylvania and in this week's video I decided to give fall trout fishing a shot. Usually I limit myself to trout fishing in the late winter to early summer months. Trout fishing in October was quite different than fishing in the spring. For one, I noticed that there was less fish stocked than during the spring stockings, the fish seemed smaller and less healthy, and lastly, the fish weren't near as aggressive.

I was able to catch one trout, but I could tell the day wasn't going to go my way so I decided to stop at a local creek for some multi-species action and the fishing was much better there. Bites almost every cast!

Gear used:
