In this video, you will see how we set up our own portable vacuum pump system for our Surge bucket milker using a cheaper pump and some other odds and ends.
I will also show you how the Surge milker goes onto the cow and how to milk a cow using this machine, using our lovely girl Penelope for the demonstration.

- 3” Leftover ABS Pipe cut to about 40 inches long with both ends capped
- Stainless steel strapping to hold ABS pipe to the side of the cart
- 5/8” clear fuel line hose or you could get legitimate milk line hose (cut to about 8 ft long plus some extra)
- hose clamps
- PVC fittings to attach pressure gauge and valves to the ABS pipe
- pressure gauge
- ball valve x2
