This week we'll be cooking some good refreshing Chinese soup. Good for the body and refreshes you.

Lotus root contains both fiber and complex carbohydrates. These two components work together to help manage your body's cholesterol and blood sugar. Fiber and complex carbohydrates also help maintain a slow and steady digestive process.

莲藕富含着大量的黏液蛋白、膳食纤维、铁等营养元素，生藕能消食止泻、开胃清热、滋补养性等，而煮汤则能利小便、清热润肺等，是滋补的佳品。

Ingredients list :

1. Pork spare ribs - 400g
2. Pork lean meat - 200g
3. Dried squid - 2pcs
4. Lotus roots - 500g
5. Peanuts - 150g
6. Red Dates - 13 pcs
7. Candied dates - 1 pc
8. Ginger - 3 slices
9. Salt - up to preference
10. Goji berries - 10g
11. White peppers - a bit
12. Water - 1.5L

Cooking Steps :

1. Slice the lotus roots, then put into salt water so it won't dioxide
2. Wash red dates with hot water
3. Remove red date's seed
4. Wash goji berries with hot water
5. Cut dried squid into 2 pieces
6. Boil peanuts with hot water for 3 mins to remove dirt
7. Boil lotus root with 1 teaspoon of baking soda to remove dirt for 2 mins
8. Boil the meat and pork ribs in cold water and add in ginger and white pepper
9. Boil for 3 minutes and rinse it with cold water
10. Put all ingredients into pot except goji berries
11. Add in water
12. Boil for 90 minutes
13. After 90 minutes, add some salt and add in goji berries
14. Boil for another 30 minutes.
15. Done and enjoy your soup!
