This video shows the Roland D.VIa fighter used by the Fliegertruppe in the last year of WW1. The aircraft's sleek, elegant design is well captured in the model and includes the unusual clinker-style wooden construction of the fuselage.

This colour scheme brings together the highly-varnished wood finish on the fuselage and lozenge pattern on the wings and tailplane, and is believed to have been operational with Jasta 23b at Epinoy, France, during 1918.
