For SWA this year, I ventured to this newer Vortex in Midway. It was installed back in 2020 or so. Madison County normally only tests for 5 seconds weekly, and they were rumored to do full wail for tornado warnings - with SWA being the only time of the year the sirens run the full 3-minute cycle. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. They activated again on accident a 2nd time about 5-6 minutes after the initial test, I only caught the last 15 seconds or so on my phone. Enjoy!

The 2023 Ohio Severe Weather Awareness Week Tornado Drill was conducted on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 9:50 am. The drill is intended as a reminder for people to practice what they would do in the event of an actual tornado. Typically, Madison County tests their sirens every Wednesday at noon for a short 5-10 second blast of alert. During the statewide drill and actual tornado events, the sirens run a full 3-minute wail signal.
