Best known as “The Booger Song”, this one was the big controversial song that took us totally by surprise. It’s a purely lightweight and silly little piece on the subject of nose picking, and it got us forcibly expelled from one school by its principal, a tall man who separated the two of us in the auditorium and backed Linda into the wall to deliver our marching orders out of there, an incident that reverberated through other school administrations that began disinviting us from contracted performances, even when we offered to pull the song from our repertoire. We were literally blacklisted, and the next thing we knew we were being invited to things like a seminar on book censorship at Simon Fraser University and CBC interviews on the subject.

The album was released as a combination of a book and cassette sold separately or together. All songs were written and performed by Linda Rogers and Rick Van Krugel, and all instrumental playing by Rick Van Krugel unless otherwise noted. With one exception, all the drawings in the book that accompany the songs or poems are by Rick Van Krugel.
