Karnaprayag is a confluence of River Alaknanda and Pinder Ganga. The name Karnaprayag is attained as in epic Mahabharata King Karna used to worship Sun God in this place and it is also believed and mentioned in our Puranas/Shastras that Shri Krishna had cremated the Body of King Karna here.
Nand Prayag is also a samll town in Chamoli Distt. of Uttarakhand State. Here the confluence of two rivers Alakhnanda and Nandakini. Nandakini river originated from Nanda Devi peak and Alakhnanda from Badri Narayan. It is also believed that once YaduDynasty had ruled mad Nandprayag their Capital city.capital city.
Hanuman Chatti Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman ji. It is located at a distance of approx 286 km from Rishikesh towards badrinath dham. Badrinath Dham is approx 12 km away and Joshimath is 34 kma away from Hanuman Chatti. As per Epic Mahabharata, Hanuman Chatti is the same place where Lord Hanuman has broken (disposed off) the offensive attitude of superiority of Pandav Bhim.
