In this week's Walk in the Park (episode 204), Finger Lakes State Parks FORCES Stewardship Corps (Friends of Recreation, Conservation, and Environmental Stewardship) personnel explain how they monitor and control invasive plant species in their Three Gorges Project (involving Taughannock Falls, Buttermilk Falls, and Robert H. Treman State Parks near Ithaca, NY). At Taughannock Falls State Park, they continue their discussion and demonstration of their efforts to monitor and control pale swallowwort, one of a number of pernicious invasive plants from abroad that are undermining our ecosystems.
We begin this episode with Park Minute 7, that illustrates the healing power of nature in upstate New York that people sought out after the attacks on the World Trade Center seventeen years ago.

Walk in the Park is a weekly public access TV series produced at PEGASYS Studio of Spectrum TV in Ithaca, NY by Tony Ingraham, Owl Gorge Productions. http://owlgorge.com
