I first heard this beautiful air played on the harp by Ailie Robertson on her album, First Things First, and it immediately became one of my favourite pieces on the album. I later learned that it was co- originally written by Angus Lyon and his father. There is another beautiful version of it by Angus Lyon and Ruaridh Campbell called 'Joining of the Spirits' where instruments intertwine powerfully.

I like to think of this piece as music which calls out to kindred spirits. Im sharing it this week as Autumn is just beginning and all those beautiful colours of fall with all its red hues begin to fill the tree lines. This is my favourite month. There is something so magical about the season changing and everything feeling that little bit cosier - different but so fresh and new at the same time.

To all the kindred spirits out there - I wish you all a wonderful Autumn/Fall season. As you listen to this harp solo. Grab yourself a warm drink and sit by a window with a view and enjoy.
