The next leg of our European campervan road trip takes us to a campsite in Tasch called Camping Alphubel, right next to the train station.
We took the train in to Zermatt and then took a separate train up to the Gornergrat which is over 3000m above sea level at the summit!
This then enables you to soak in the views and catch the return train down or, hike to your hearts content while always having a great view of the Matterhorn. There's snow capped mountains, glacial lakes, glaciers and trails as far as they eye can see.
We walked down to view the reflections in the lakes, capture the Toblerone viewing point and get as many views of the Swiss alps as we could in one day.
Heading back in the beautiful town of Zermatt for retail therapy and to catch the train back to our campsite.
