This time, I walked around the shopping street of Assabu Town, Hokkaido, Japan.
Assabu Town is located inland from Esashi Town and has a population of approximately 3,800 people.
It is located about 2 hours west of Hakodate by car.
It is a town with thriving agriculture and forestry industries and is also the birthplace of May Queen potatoes.
In recent years, sweet potatoes have been cultivated, and the sweet potato shochu made from them has also become a specialty product.
The video shooting started from A Coop Assabu and was walking towards National Route 227.
There were several shops, but since it was a Monday morning, many of them were not yet open.
I turned left at the intersection with National Route 227, but if you go right for a while, you will see a roadside station.
The roadside station was crowded with people looking for fresh vegetables from Assabu Town. Unfortunately, it is a little far from the center of town.
