This time, I walked around the shopping street in Furencho, Nayoro City, Hokkaido, Japan.
Furencho was once a town with a population of about 5,000 and a thriving glutinous rice cultivation industry.
In 2006 it merged with Nayoro City to become Furencho, Nayoro City.
The filming was done near Central Park, heading along National Route 40, and then from the intersection with Furen Ekimae-dori Street, continuing along Ekimae-dori Street.
There are not many shops, but the feeling of being the center of a small town, including the station, remains.
I personally think it's a good thing that the former town names have remained intact even after the merger.
