Extreme fire behavior is demonstrated as the fire is pushed away from civilization by a rare northeasterly wind event in May of 2013. On the third day a wind reversal occurs and drives the fire into the communities of Lake Hughes and Lake Elizabeth where 53 structures including 24 homes are destroyed in a five hour duration of rapid fire spread in heavy old growth brush, grass and trees. Aerial ops include copter drops and fixed wing activity with S-2's, P2V's and the DC-10. Total acreage is 30,274 or 47 square miles. Download @ FirestormHDvideos.com
