While recording the audio version of my new book - The High 5 Habit - something crazy happened. I was reading one of my favorite chapters in the book - Chapter 10 - when Rachel (@rachh.ro on Instagram) walked into the studio. She had just quit her job and this chapter was EXACTLY what she needed to hear.

Chapter 10 is the true story of a 25 year old Uber driver in Dallas, with a dream of being an Oscar winning actor who creates opportunities for other Black and Latino men who want to be actors. I was his passenger and when he learned that I was about to launch a daytime talk show, he asked me for advice on achieving his dream. Naturally, I asked him a question - “if you dream of being an actor, what on earth are you doing in Dallas?”

And then...the real coaching (er...ass-kicking begins!)

Eduardo had $700 in his bank account, a friend with a couch he could crash on in LA and nothing keeping him in Dallas. He wasn’t only driving in circles in Dallas - he was talking in them! He had nothing but excuses and fear, which I was having none of it.

Chapter 10 is where I teach you how to flip your fear into a high five attitude. I show you how to get out of your way and start moving toward what you want. And how, using a notebook, a three week timeline and some simple science - you can stop thinking and get moving on your goals too.

Yes, the universe will send you signs. But YOU need to follow them. When you finally take that leap - THAT’S when the crazy magical stuff happens.
