Our 400 amp or also known as 320 meter socket was backordered for 6 months for our new construction temporary and permanent service. Checking in regularly to the electrical distributor, only to see the 6 months pass with no luck. Then I started asking questions when I was told it was now 18 months. Was it because I'm a DIY Homeowner? or is it because larger electricians in big companies get them first? This made me ask more questions and pick for information on supply and demand.

Then I realized WHY!
