Hey guys! Come along with me as I adventure alone in the wilderness on a solo camping trip in the Budawangs.

The Budawangs is a wilderness are that dorms part of the Morton National Park. I ride 8kms to where I start my 7.5km hike to the location I intend to spend the night.
Exhaustion was one of the major struggles I had on this trip and I really felt it as I arrived to my end point. The emotions really get amplified when you're exhausted and you can probably hear it in my voice when I can't find any flat ground to set up camp.

The following day started off well with a very strong cup of coffee from The Gums Coffee Co (link below) before disaster hit.
Overnight the wind picked up considerably and made the trip back alone very difficult and I was glad to be on my way out.

A very eventful solo camping trip in the Budawangs and I learnt a lot about myself and my capabilities. It's a trip that will stick with me and be my benchmark for the next few years I'd say. I was looking to step out of my comfort zone with this camp and I sure did push those zones around. After getting home, I reflected on the trip and looked back with some great memories and eager to do it all again soon.
