A brilliant Australian hiking adventure cave camping in the Budawangs, no tent required. Five amazing days visiting places like Camp Rock, the Hidden Valley, Houghton Hilton Cave, Aboriginal Bora ground, Monolith Valley, The Castle, Burrumbeet Brook, Corang Arch and Corang Peak.

We cooked on the campfire and slept in caves. Along for the hike were my flatmates Annette and Jack. We did this hike before the devastating 2019/2020 bushfires so it is very green. I hope to get back there sometime soon and do a similar trip.

The Budawangs, in Morton National Park, NSW.

It was a great route but navigation was a bit difficult in parts and there was a bit of bush bashing (typical of the budawangs). If I was to do it again I'd split the last day from Mt Cole to Wog Wog into 2 days (but we didn't have the time on this trip). It was a very long day. It would also be lovely to spend an additional day around the Monolith Valley and the Castle area to explore more places like Mt Owen and Shrouded Gods.

I always feel so remote in the Budawangs - we didn't see another person for the entire five days we were out there.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, I pay my respect to Elders past and present.

Thanks for watching.
