Namibia is Plant Hunter paradise! Its unique geology and climate make for some very unusual plants, one of the most spectacular of which is this, the Quiver tree. So called because of a traditional San use of the tree (the clue is in the name!), but most visually noticeable because of the way to the branches continually split into two. I shot this video at the National Botanic Garden in Windhoek, which I highly recommend as a very worthwhile destination for visitors to Namibia!
