It was important for Dr. Gupta to choose a career in which she could build relationships with people and promote healing in an interactive and hands-on way. Her passion for lifestyle medicine and whole-person care guided her to become a physician. She follows in the footsteps of her father, who is also a family medicine physician and was an inspirational influence for her as she grew up.

She chose to practice family medicine since it affords her the unique opportunity to build impactful relationships with a focus on health and well-being. Her training in lifestyle medicine, integrative medicine and whole-person care provided her the foundation required to deliver high-quality care to her patients.
Her practice is centered around the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress reduction, avoidance of risky substances and social connections. She says, “I believe that optimizing these pillars in a patient's life, in addition to managing their medical conditions, is the best way to optimize well-being.”

Dr. Gupta grew up in Orange County, California and is excited to return home to practice in her community. She completed her family medicine residency at Loma Linda University, where she served as Lifestyle Medicine Chief, and earned her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. She has presented her research and given talks at national conferences including AAFP and ACLM. She has helped facilitate courses for her fellow physicians to learn the lifestyle medicine pillars and promote better quality of life for their patients and themselves. Her favorite Lifestyle Medicine pillar is restorative sleep.

When away from the office, Dr. Gupta enjoys hiking, playing tennis, cooking, gardening, writing poetry, art and spending time with her family.
