From among thousands of cooks across the country, only 32 people were chosen to participate in the preliminary rounds in each area.
The interview is with Mr. Shida of Tsukiji Gindako Seven Park Ario Kashiwa, who won the title of "Japan's Best Gindako Craftsman" from among only 32 people who made it to the finals.

In fact, Mr. Shida was the grand prix winner of the previous 9th competition, and this time he has won the title twice in a row.
We were mesmerized by his masterful skewer handling, which was so well executed that it was almost as if we were watching a show.

The individual competition of the "Atatsu atsu Grand Prix" is a competition of skills using a "hand-roasting stand.
This restaurant was renovated after the 9th competition and a "next-generation vibrating machine" was introduced.
