3 Turkish Mezes: Sea Bean (Samphire) Salad - Spicy Tomato & Pepper Salad - Fried Chilies in Garlic Yogurt
(In Turkish a.k.a. : Deniz Börülcesi - Acılı Ezme - Atom)
Similar to the Spanish tapas, "meze" is the general category of dishes that are brought in small quantities to start the meal off. These are usually eaten along with "rakı";, the anise-flavoured national drink of Turks sometimes referred to as "lion's milk", for a few hours until the main course is served.

Ingredients:
Sea beans - Samphire salad (Deniz Borulcesi) :
100 g sea beans
1 cloves garlic
1 lemon
2 tbsp olive oil
Spicy tomato pepper dip (Acili Ezme) :
half a bunch parsley
1 red onion
3 green peppers
1 red paprika pepper
3 medium size tomatoes
1 clove garlic
Juice of 1 lemons
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried peppermint
1 tsp blackpepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp sumak
1 tbsp chili paste
Fried chilies with garlic yogurt (Atom) :
4-5 dried chilies
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup yogurt (strained)
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
