Two for the price of one. If it was free it would still be overpriced. That's right. We've reached the nadir. The bottom. The deepest, darkest recesses of Bob Dylan's career.

So we're getting them both out of the way.

Time to tee of on Knocked Out Loaded and Down in the Groove. Bob Dylan's 24th and 25th studio albums. Recorded during a fallow period, both of these records saw Dylan collaborating with a variety of big names in a futile attempt to find a new sound in the heart of the 1980s. He experimented with a slew of covers, different styles, different producers, sessions.

And all we got was Knocked Out Loaded and Down in the Groove.

Fortunately, Dylan would soon find success again with the Traveling Wilburys and yet another comeback album. But that's later. This is now.

Do you like these records? Can I ask why? Are there any defenders for KoL and DitG? If you're one of those sickos, leave your reasoning in the comments.
