From New Morning to Slow Train Coming, it's been quite a trip through the 1970s with Bob Dylan. Now we drop our top 20 songs of a decade with many highs and a couple lows, but overall, a lot of consistency from Mr. Dylan.
Dylan's 70s output wasn't quite as heralded as his 60s work. And on the charts, it wasn't particularly close either, but the man did manage to chart Wigwam (almost into the top 40 nonetheless) so his commercial drawing power still had some life in it, especially in the early part of the decade. Watching the River Flow, George Jackson, Knockin' on Heaven's Door (No. 12, his highest of the decade) A Fool Such as I, On a Night Like This, Most Likely You Go Your Way (live), Tangled Up in Blue, Hurricane, Mozambique, and Gotta Serve Somebody all charted in the Billboard Hot 100.
But none of that matters. The only thing that matters is what Joe and Dylan think are the 20 best songs from Bob Dylan in the 1970s.
Surprisingly, they actually might be on the same page this time...
