Veggie balls is deep fried bite sized spicy balls made with squash, carrot, spring onion, red onion, garlic, all purpose flour, corn-starch, sugar, eggs, salt and pepper. It is normally available as a street food with a sweet and spicy sauce made with sugar, soy sauce, onion, garlic, all purpose flour, corn-starch and chili.

INGREDIENTS

✔️2 cups grated Kalabasa
✔️1 cup grated carrot
✔️1/4 cup minced spring onions (or malunggay)
✔️1 medium onion (minced)
✔️5 cloves garlic (minced)
✔️3/4 cup all purpose flour
✔️1/2 cup cornstarch
✔️2 eggs
✔️1 tbsp. sugar
✔️salt and pepper to taste
✔️2 to 3 tablespoon water (adjust as needed)
✔️oil for frying

FISHBALL SAUCE

✔️2 cups water
✔️1/2 cup brown sugar
✔️2 tbsp. soy sauce
✔️1 tbsp all purpose flour
✔️1 tbsp cornstarch
✔️1 small onion (minced)
✔️3 cloves garlic (minced)
✔️salt & pepper to taste
