This video is a virtual tour of the beautiful and around 350 years old Kodoth Padinjareveedu Tharavadu located in the picturesque village of Kodom, Kasaragod which about 21 kms from Kanhangad town. There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi located near this Tharavadu. This Tharavadu is rich in architectural beauty and is well maintained. It is privately owned and not open to the public.
This is privately owned by the Kodoth Tharavadu family members. Chandrasekhara Gurukkal who was entrusted by the Samoothiri on the request of Kolathiri Raja to help drive away the Ikkeri Nayakas from Chandragiri area is said to be the person who set up the family in Kodom area in Kasaragod. The family was formerly the trustee of many temples in Kasaragod.
