This video is a virtual tour of the beautiful and ancient Madiyan Koolom Temple located in Madiyan, Kasaragod which about 3 kms from Kanhangad town. This is a temple dedicated to Goddess Kalarathriamma and Kshethrapalakan Thamburan. This temple is rich in architectural beauty and has a lot of sculpture work. The history of this temple is closely attached to the Nileshwaram Royal Family. This has been discussed in more detail in my video on Thaliyil Temple. One significant thing that stands out is that the Puja in this temple is conducted by priests from two different communities. The morning and evening puja is conducted by Maniyani Nairs and the afternoon puja for Kshethrapalakan is done by a Brahmin. Appam is a popular prasadam from this temple. There is a beautiful temple pond and multiple shrines located at this place.
