Australia will acquire a fleet of 29 new AH-64E Apache Attack Helicopters as part of the Land 4503 AH-64E Apache Attack Helicopter Project.

To support the transition to the AH-64E Apache fleet, Australian Army aviators are on exchange with the British Army to gain experience maintaining the aircraft.

AH-64E Apache deliveries to Australia are expected to commence in late 2025. The Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter capability will continue to meet Defence requirements until it is withdrawn from service by 2028.
