I am so glad my dear hubby saw this little hack on Pintrest. Flaky Layer biscuits by Pillsbury are his favorite. He wanted me to try this and since he asked so nicely, I just couldn't resist his sweet face. It is just the little things that you can do for your spouse that shows how much you love them. It costs nothing to be kind to your spouse. I call it a labor of love. And yes, I know they sell canned cinnamon rolls and they are right beside the canned biscuits so go back and read those first few sentences again.
We were out of town at the time this video was made so hence, the reason for not having a rolling pin. The landlord who owned the home, did not have one, so I searched and found something to use to make do as a rolling pin. The lid on the water bottle was warped and would not screw back on to the top. Oh well, sometimes you just improvise. Use what you have on hand.
I'm sorry that I do not have exact measurements. It all depends on how many I am making as to how much to use. I just eyeball everything and taste test as I go.
Ingredients:
Pillsbury Flaky Layer Biscuits
Butter
Brown sugar
cinnamon

Frosting:
cream cheese
milk or creamer
sugar
vanilla flavoring
If you do make these, let me know how they turned out and if you tried substitutions. I may try the pumpkin/maple next and add Pecans. Yummy 😋

Disclaimer:
They were not "burned". When cooking or baking with brown sugar and butter, they crystallize, and caramelize. When you add a dark color spice to that , it gets even darker and discolors what ever it is cooked with or baked with. I had so much ooey gooey goodness in those rolls, that it was oozing out. It did however give them a candy crunch that surprised me. The biscuits were perfectly baked not burned. The lighting in her house was not right for the effect of the video. If they had been burned, my husband and I would not have been able to eat on them for 3 days.
If you think you might want to try to make cinnamon rolls from scratch, you should check out my video of me making my homemade cinnamon rolls    • HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON ROLLS With Canne...
That video kind of ties into this one, and explains a whole lot more.
