Flight to Volgograd on an S7 Airlines (Siberia) and returned on a Pobeda Airlines flight on a Boeing 737-800, all in one day. Enjoyed a quick walk in Volgograd, rode the high-speed tram, strolled along the promenade, and saw the time traveler Zelilov's plaque. A journey to the Volga River.

The video starts on a frosty morning at Domodedovo Airport, where a new terminal has opened for international departures. The parking at the airport is now much more spacious and convenient. I took a Yandex Taxi to the airport instead of the Aeroexpress train, having read that the latter raised prices and sometimes it's cheaper to take a taxi. I walked through the international departure zone, where Emirates was registering for a flight to Dubai, and saw a retro car exhibition. I even found an Ozon pickup point and many chain restaurants like KFC or Vkusno i Tochka at Domodedovo.

Printed my boarding pass at the green S7 kiosk and headed towards the domestic flights area. I reviewed the Siberia registration area and the registration zone for passengers with children. Then I received an SMS about the flight delay, offering a beverage voucher redeemable at Domodedovo’s cafes and restaurants.

In the security zone, through the large windows, I saw two Airbus A321s from Barnaul and Novokuznetsk. I filmed a short video of a stewardess cleaning the plane, visible through two open doors. At a café in zone D, I couldn't buy water since the airline only provides 150 rubles for delays, and the cheapest drink was more expensive. Then, I went to the Domodedovo business lounge managed by S7 Airlines, accessed with my OnPass card from my bank. I had breakfast, watched planes from Uzbekistan Airways from Tashkent, Ural Airlines, and even saw an Ethiopian Airlines 777. The flight was delayed by two and a half hours. Boarding was via bus, despite the display indicating a jet bridge.

The flight to Volgograd was on an interesting S7 aircraft in art livery, created in collaboration with the Street Art Museum. The plane had all economy seats. Only water was offered during the flight. There was an internal wifi system for movies, but no charging sockets. After landing at Gumrak Airport, I saw an unusual AN-26 Arctic plane, a flying scientific laboratory.

I took a taxi from the airport to downtown Volgograd, stumbled upon Professor Zelilov's plaque and the Institute of Chronology. After finishing my tasks in that area, I took the High-Speed Tram to the north of the city, sharing about this unique mini metro. Along the way, I saw the stadium, Mamayev Kurgan, and the Motherland Monument.

I took a taxi back to the airport. I was late for check-in and arrived almost last, which is not advisable. I got a seat in the first and most expensive row on Pobeda Airlines. At check-in, passengers often argued with the representative about the baggage size rules. I did a brief review of the airport, entered the business lounge with OnPass, and waited for boarding. The Pobeda plane from Moscow arrived late due to bad weather.

The flight on Pobeda was calm and comfortable, though delayed by almost an hour and a half. The first row isn't the most convenient, as you can stretch your legs, but you must store your outerwear and items on the shelf, which isn't available above these seats, so they're placed far away.

Ticket cost:

Moscow, Domodedovo to Volgograd flight – 5040 rubles, bought via the S7 app on iOS
Volgograd to Sheremetyevo, Moscow flight – 2999 rubles, bought on the Pobeda website.
The video was shot on a GoPro9 and iPhone 14, edited personally in Final Cut.

The flights were purchased with personal funds, without any influence from third parties or agencies.

Thank you very much for watching my videos.
