Here are the tools I used to build this guitar kit:

angle grinder:

sanding flap disc (used 80 grit, but if I had it to do over again, I’d use this 120 grit disc):

Router:

Jigsaw:

Black and Decker rotary tool (I like this better than the dremel and it’s actually cheaper):

Basically, here is the short version of how I converted this kit into a Mosrite Ventures model guitar:
I carved a bevel into the body using the angle grinder with a sanding flap disc
I cut the base of the neck at an angle so that I could install the neck pickup at an angle
I made a pickguard and pickup rings out of 1/8” birch plywood I got from a craft shop using a jigsaw, router, and dremel for shaping the pickup holes.
I filled the holes for the string tail piece, and installed the moslike tremolo system
replaced the bridge with the kmise roller bridge
replaced the zero fret with a graphtec nut
leveled and crowned the frets
installed a seymour duncan mini humbucker in the neck and dimarzio fs-1 in the bridge (Johnny Ramone’s pickup layout). and added a phase reversal switch for both pickups together, and a north/series/south switch for the mini humbucker.
This is probably the best guitar that I’ve ever built, and I’m sad I have to sell it. Oh well, I guess I can always build another one someday…
