Sometimes it feels like the nitty gritty of importing a horse is some kind of industry secret, but wonder no more! 🐴 This week on Ask An Expert we're chatting with Katherine McMahon, sport horse broker and owner of French Horse Exports, to get the low down on everything you need to know when it comes to importing horses and shopping overseas!

Katherine grew up riding in Alaska and attended Lake Erie College in Ohio. After college she moved to Europe where she rode, trained, and showed young horses in France. In 2013 Katherine established French Horse Exports alongside Alizé Jeandon, with the goal of helping connect American riders with their dream horses. 🇫🇷 Over the years they have focused on streamlining the process from start to finish, making it as seamless as possible and specializing in making the best possible match between horse and rider. Today, French Horse Exports has flourished to become a full-service, multi-faceted business ranging from importing and exporting to a complete horse tour in France.
