WHAT IS FLOOR BARRE?
Floor barre was originally created by professional ballerinas and has been defined by Louisa Paterson in her own style of floor barre training. It takes the basic ballet barre training from the standing position to the floor, taking the effort of standing out of the equation. This in turn allows dancers to assess in more detail where they are strong, weak and less flexible. The technique combines strength and flexibility training and is an essential part of the TLB (Train Like a Ballerina) METHOD.
