Diversity is our strength - We Are Asia Pacific

From the Gobi desert to the coral reefs of Fiji, from the cloudy highlands of Papua New Guinea to the coastlines of the Andaman Sea, from the Mekong river system and tropical moist forests in South East Asia to the Amur and boreal forests in the East of Mongolia. This is home, a lifeline for many.

From more than 100 tigers in one of the largest tiger safe havens left on earth to less than 100 Irrawaddy river dolphin in deep water pools of the Mekong River, from globally important populations of yellowfin and skipjack tuna in the Southern Pacific to more than 1,000 fish species in the Mekong River, from about 1,000 snow leopards in 14 high mountain areas of the Altai to less than 5,000 Asian elephants in the forests of the Greater Mekong countries …

This is Asia Pacific, a densely populated corner of the earth, harboring immense biodiversity in only a fraction of total space on our planet.
